Responsible for developing and executing a strategy to cultivate relationships to acquire new business with global customers. Sales activities focus on a small group of major customers in the "top tier of significant importance" to the organization. The incumbent will be responsible for sales management including the development of strategic initiatives required to grow and retain the revenue stream of assigned highly complex accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Advisory Global Account Manager owns the account relationship and is responsible for meeting revenue objectives. Conducts strategic planning activities to ensure customer's product or service needs are anticipated. Identifies key trends and customer needs and leverage industry knowledge and applications to sell across the customer base. Responsible for meeting a wide variety of customer communication needs including data, voice and CPE solutions. Responsible for utilizing consultative selling skills with the assistance of support resources, identify sales opportunities and close sales within assigned accounts. Responsible for leading an account team (GAEs/GAMs/Sr GAMSs) to meet customer commitments and satisfaction goals. Typically reports to the Global Sales Director. Typically requires 10+ years sales experience in telecommunications.
