JOB DESCRIPTION:

AXA Equitable has further elevated online/e-learning as a key component of the overall training and development strategy for the AXA Advisors sales force. The Online Training Strategy and Development (OTSD) team is charged with the execution of this mission which includes: collaborating with business partners to successfully integrate online learning as part of an overall blended learning approach, improving the online learning portal/LMS user experience, and enhancing individual eLearning/online learning offerings. Our goal is to make online/eLearning remarkable, relevant and quantifiably beneficial to our financial professionals and business partners. The Instructional Designer II joining the OTSD team will play a key role in helping to achieve these business goals by bringing in a strong background and variety of successful online/e-learning program development. Key responsibilities include:

* Developing eLearning offerings for our field sales force following three core principals in strong partnership with home office and field SMEs, following the ADDIE training development model, employing an agile development approach;

* Continual research, exploration and collaboration with team members to stretch our capabilities in producing more robust, engaging and relevant eLearning courses;

* Support the ongoing implementation, development and administration of the learning portal/LMS. The successful candidate for the Instructional Designer II role will be highly results driven, creative and team-oriented and able to multi-task and shift focus of priorities, as required, to meet the fast paced demands of the Sales Support Training team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

* Consult with subject matter experts/business partners to determine and need to know content, and validate that training is the appropriate solution to the business need (Analyze)

* Create specific learning objectives as the foundation of all training development and design appropriate delivery solutions to meet specified learning/business needs (Design)

* Develop learning content into creative and compelling e-learning offerings using rapid authoring tools (e.g. Captivate and Articulate)

* Overseeing and documenting all course reviews cycles including SME reviews, product management review and Compliance reviews

* Implement (deploy) and participate in the evaluation of course/program impact
Updating existing e-learning courses

* Manage internal and external project teams to complete medium/large scale eLearning project efforts

* Maintain currency in the eLearning field by researching and reviewing tools, techniques and development styles

* Support the administration of the online portal/learning management system and the archiving of developed content

* Other tasks as assigned

Skills/Knowledge Required:

* Excellent interpersonal skills with all levels of employees

* Excellent verbal and written communication skill required

* Excellent command of the English language and an ability to be courteous yet tactful with a variety of personalities

* Strong collaborative and team orientation; able to work individually or within a matrixed project team environment

* Demonstrated experience with LMS/LCMS systems

* Demonstrated experience developing a variety of e-learning offerings using authoring software (preferable: Articulate and Captivate)

* Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint; intermediate Skills in Microsoft Excel with aptitude for advanced development

* Proficiency with Flash, Photoshop, video editing or other graphic oriented software

* Experience in financial services preferably in retail distribution or sales force environment; knowledge of general life insurance and annuity products

* Excellent customer service skills, especially when delivering constructive messages

* Ability to meet tight deadlines

* Demonstrates highest degree of integrity, honesty and efficiency

* Must be very organized, able to deal with multiple tasks, departments and people at the same time with proven ability to plan ahead.

* Flexibility required based on quickly changing priorities on a day-to-day basis.

* Bachelor s Degree + Minimum 3-5 years of Instructional Design experience required
* Experience with insurance and FINRA continuing education a plus

* Master s Degree in Instructional Design or related field preferred

* Certificate in Instructional Design, eLearning development or with specific authoring tools a plus

Type of Job Experience Required:

* Learning Management System/Learning Content Management System - 2+ years

* Experience with insurance and FINRA continuing education requirements a plus - 1+ years
