As a key member of the Care Enhancement Center (CEC) Leadership Team, the Training Manager is responsible for meeting training needs of colleagues at the Care Enhancement Centers. With the support and guidance from the Director of Education and Deployment, the Training Manager is responsible for the internal development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of training activities within the local CEC. The Training Manager facilitates customer and quality improvement through observation of interactions with members and providers, including formal training of all CEC colleagues. Working in conjunction with the CEC Leadership team and Director of Education and Deployment, the Training Manager will deliver, develop and carry out training, which ensures that targeted and coordinated activities occur. The training manager will maintain training records and activities to include monitoring colleague progress. As an influential member of the Leadership Team, the Training Manager will be responsible for identifying areas of growth and development for colleagues and supporting needed growth and development through available resources.
The Training Manager will assist in shaping the CEC's culture to facilitate a collective commitment to company values and mission, and promote an environment where colleagues will perform their best work.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
1. Coordinate and participate in general orientation and ongoing development and training of all CEC colleagues.
2. Assist in selection, training and development of Mentors.
3. Schedule, participate and maintain training records of the Reliability Process for the Colleague Development Process.
4. Develop training outcome measurements to monitor the effectiveness and quality of the training programs.
5. Review and monitor quality audit and call monitoring reports to identify trends and needs.
6. Develop and implement tools to improve individual and departmental performance.
7. Coordinate Continuing Education (CEU) Training to meet clinical licensing requirements and Healthways needs.
8. Ability to work effectively and efficiently with all members of the CEC Leadership Team.
9. Direct management responsibility of the Clinical Training Specialist.
10. Ability to work independently, exercising judgment and initiative in carrying out training activities that support and enhance colleague skills and business goals.
Qualifications
1. RN with a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or a Master's Degree in Healthcare, Training and Development preferred.
2. Five (5) years of clinical experience.
3. Preferably, a clinician with "Call Center" background to include health plan managed care experience.
4. Previous presentation and training skills using a clinical delivery model.
5. Competent PC skills and proficiency in MS Office.
6. Demonstrates professionalism and is self-directed, highly organized, displays sound judgment, has exceptional problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
7. Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Team player, results oriented, flexibility to adapt to a variety situations and engages in collaborative goal setting.
9. Strong organizational and leadership skills (i.e., coaching, mentoring, staff development).
10. Demonstrates time management skills (i.e., prioritization, timely follow-up, with other responsibilities and meets deadlines).
11. Basic knowledge of chronic disease, an understanding of population management, case management, and health plan/employer experience is highly desirable.
12. Demonstrates Positive attitude (solution oriented and ability to deal with ambiguity).
13. Ability to work flexible hours to meet the training needs of the Operations Team.
14. Membership in an educational professional group such as the American Society of Training Development preferred.
