Position responsibilities include:
* Research Project Management
* Design prototype lab-scale/bench-scale experimental apparatus and systems
* Bench-top microbiology operations
* Sample handling and processing with aseptic techniques
* Culture media preparation, microbial sample preparation, and plate reading
* Develop test protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
* Install, use, maintain, and repair research equipment (i.e. pH meters, sonicators, pipettes, etc).
* Prepare reports to document experimental procedures and findings

Basic and Required Qualifications:
* Minimum years of experience: 10
* Education required: BS in microbiology, biological sciences, biochemistry, biomedical engineering or related field

Additional and Preferred Qualifications:
* Education preferred: MS in microbiology, biological sciences, biochemistry, biomedical engineering or related field

* This position does require travel. Travel amount is negligible.
* A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
* This position may manage others.
