Job Title: Senior Avionics Electrical Engineer 2011
Location: Goldsboro, NC
Overview: This position is responsible for the development of the electrical system and testing with significant scope and complexity. The successful candidate will be expected to perform their responsibilities with minimal management and be able to make decisions and recommendations that are recognized as authoritative and have an important impact on engineering activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Oversee the development of Aircraft electrical control systems Creation, review and approval of technical reports covering the following topics: oElectrical load analyses oEMC control plans oDiscrete I/O interface requirements oSerial I/O interface requirements oPower Quality verification oEnvironmental performance verification Manage supplier for the development of the Electrical Systems, from specification to the manufacture, test and certification. Work independently to gather data and input on the development of original designs
Education/
Experience: Required Skills Experience in the airworthiness and certification of airborne systems with emphasis on structured process Experience in performing Avionics Electrical Load analyses Experience in developing EMC control plans at wither the System or Equipment level Experience in specifying or developing Interface Control documentation Experience in the design of electrical avionics equipment Experience in designing to meet the requirements of DO-160D, MIL-STD-810E or MIL-STD- 461E. In depth knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and is disciplines in their application. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE BS Electrical Engineering, MS preferred Minimum 10 years experience in Aerospace Industry in design, development, test and certification of airborne systems Strong English oral and written communications skill Proficiency with MS-Office software US Citizen or Permanent Resident WILLINGNESS TO TRAVEL Re
