The Senior Health Promotion Specialist is responsible for driving education, participation and sustained engagement across the client population in the well-being improvement program. S/he works closely with the Healthways Account Manager and the client's Plan Administration team to develop monthly/quarterly challenges and will engage Plan participants and their families for the purpose of inspiring sustained program participation and behavior change. S/he will also work closely with Engagement Marketing, Event Management, Innovations, and the Center for Health Action (research division of Healthways). Responsibilities include understanding Plan participant needs, contract obligations, and developing a program plan that includes the scheduling of programming, well-being assessments, well-being improvement activities and events that support the areas of greatest well-being need. As an onsite member of the Healthways account team, s/he will partner and interact with client Plan Administrators and Onsite Medical Department personnel to ensure customer satisfaction and provide additional client reporting and education.

The Senior Health Promotion Specialist may also be responsible for supporting onsite lifestyle risk coaching. Healthways onsite coaching model mobilizes our telephonic coaching solution, providing behavior-change focused interventions at a worksite location. Responsibilities include one-on-one coaching sessions designed to address each individual's key lifestyle related health risks, as identified through the Well-Being Assessment (WBA) and biometric screening data, to support improvements in health and well-being.

Qualifications

Work direction will be provided primarily by the Sr. Account Manager responsible for the client's program.

Education - Degree in related health field, Master's degree preferred. Health-related professional certification is a plus.

Experience - 5 years experience in health promotions services, supporting business clients.

Scope factors - Strong understanding of health behavior change theory, excellent communication/presentation and leadership skills (verbal and written), strong program planning and marketing skills, one-on-one coaching/education.
