Job Summary
AECOM is seeking an Environmental Engineer II for employment in our Morrisville, NC office. In this role, you will work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following:
  • Perform specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
  • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
  • Propose approach to solve new problems encountered.
  • Identify discrepancies in results.
  • Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
  • Assist in designing environmental remediation systems.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
  • Cost estimation.
  • Field supervision of site assessment and remediation work.
  • Must be willing to travel to project sites.
  • Some lifting, climbing, and manual labor may be involved.

Minimum Requirements
  • BS degree in Engineering
  • 2+ year of Environmental Engineering experience
  • Valid driver’s license, as this position will be driving to project sites
  • MS Office experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering
  • Master’s degree
  • EIT certification
  • Experience with field investigations in support of assessment and remediation of contaminated sites
  • 40 Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Safety Training, for work on hazardous waste sites
