Lead Engineer - Lifecycle Architecture & Engineering        

Job Responsibilities                                              

Your specific duties as a Lead Engineer - Lifecycle Architecture & Engineering will include:    

  • Responsible for day to day service delivery of network designs and the implementation of network infrastructure projects.
  • Responsibilities associated with this position include network documentation, hardware/software procurement and installation, and activation of managed network elements.
  • Author functional specification or work with other engineers to provide guidance in creating functional specifications
  • Participate and lead brainstorming discussions to arrive at optimal designs
  • Work with architects and leads in other functional areas of the engineering team to cooperate on the complete system design and influence design decisions BS in CS, EE.
  • Continuous improvement efforts drive our business and you will work with customer technical teams to provide solutions for customers' internetworking communications requirements.
  • You will be performing routed/switched network design activity for our large enterprise customer data networks.
  • As the primary interface to customers in support of their WAN/LAN enterprise projects, you will make us better by creating great enterprise customer data networks.

Job Requirements

As a Lead Engineer - Lifecycle Architecture & Engineering you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in networking systems and routing protocols, extensive experience in Cisco routers and switches is a must, firewalls are a plus.
  • Candidate must have strong problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) & CCNP certifications
  • Experience with Cisco LAN/WAN switching, routing, VRF Lite, complex route redistribution, Cisco WAAS, and Cisco Wireless products.
  • Experience with contemporary technologies including MPLS, TCP/IP, IPSec VPN, BGP, OSPF, EiGRP, RIP, QoS, IP Telephony, Multicast, and/or other similar tools.
  • Designed and implemented large scale customer networks
  • DESIRED SKILLS:
  • Investigating, designing, planning, and implementing communications networks.
  • Partnering with customer teams to develop solutions that support their requirements.
  • Preparing network schematics to define and illustrate network design solutions.
  • Creating hardware and software configuration upgrades.
  • Providing IP addressing and routing strategies.
  • Preparing detailed work orders for technicians.
  • Working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to support multiple projects.
  • Project management experience a plus.
  • EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) & CCNP certifications
