Project Controls Specialist

Compensation (Range): $34.50 per hour

  • Workers at this level are responsible for routine aspects of project control assignments with close supervision.
  • Workers are expected to develop skills, and the ability to work with greater independence.
  • They have an understanding of basic project controls principles and associated software.

Job Requirements

As a Project Controls Specialist you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • This position typically is assigned to White or Green I projects per the Project Management Center of Excellence Project Profile Matrix.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduation from a two-year college or university Business, finance, project management, engineering, technical, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of project controls experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic project controls principles.
  • Project related work school experience
  • Demonstrated to Working Knowledge with Project Management Project Controls Concepts Computer Applications such as Scheduling Software, Financial Tools, Spreadsheets; Collaborative Team Member.
  • Analyzes past and present financial data of organization and estimates future revenues and expenditures, applying principles of finance
  • Advises management on matters, such as effective use of resources and assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Interprets budgets to management
  • May act as consultant to management on financial policies, procedures, and applications. May assist business partners in developing budget and efficient use of funds.
