PROGRAM SPECIALIST​ - PDC Payroll

GENERAL DESCRIPTION


Member of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of 1500+Physicians payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, resolve payroll issues through effective research, analysis, and the preparation / processing of correcting transactions. Maintain knowledge of procedures, processes, and system functionality to perform duties. Make recommendations for improvements, develop documentation to support recommendation, and drive implementation of approved recommendations.

Duties
1. Perform daily payroll department operations. Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
2. Research and analyze data input in trouble shooting problems. Prepare/process transactions to resolve issues and maintain accurate records. Clearly and effectively communicate problems and resolutions while providing excellent customer service. Engage others as necessary for successful outcome.
3. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
4. Develop financial and operational reporting as needed
5. Other general payroll related askes from Manager
6. Load import files received from HR

  • Thorough knowledge of computers including, but not limited to MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).

  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.

Education
Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program with one year of experience in program administration or event production. -OR- Two years of postsecondary education with three years of experience in program administration or event production. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ PREFERENCES 
  • Web based ADP and Great Plains (GP) experience desirable. 
  • Accounting experience. 
  • Benefit administration related experience desirable.
  • Payroll tax experience desirable.

LICENSURE/ CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work under time pressures in a busy clinic/office environment.
  • Must be present on site for 8 hour shifts during standard business hours.
  • Must participate in group activities requiring interpersonal skills & cooperation.
  • Must be able to react quickly and immediately respond to emergencies.
  • Must be able to handle multiple assignments, conflicting demands & priorities.
  • Must maintain attention to detail over extended period of time.
  • Must be continually aware of variations in changing situations.
  • Must be able to move throughout office environment throughout day.
