The Federal Sales Director is responsible for developing winning strategies and selling enterprise training solutions into the US Air Force. This position requires knowledge of the federal customer segment, including: organization, decision making processes and procurement intricacies.  This individual will also be responsible for:

  • Engaging within Global Knowledge to drive the government strategies.

  • Direct sales & full account management with each assigned agency.

  • Building relationships with current customers as well as business development to open new strategic accounts.

  • Driving sales opportunities through telephone, web presentations and face to face meetings with customers. 

  • Building business cases, bidding of RFPs, managing large programs and win strategies. 

  • Managing transactional daily bids and quotes to existing customers and new business for onsite/custom solutions. 

  • Coordination and management of internal processes for workflow and business opportunities.

  • Working Remotely


The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to do this job.  In addition to knowledge and experience required to do the job successfully, one must exhibit certain behaviors to perform the job successfully.  The competencies listed below are representative of the behaviors required:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in field federal sales (Civilian Agencies) with IT Hardware/Software or IT Services background

  • Strong communicator and presenter who is comfortable selling at the C-level within agencies

  • Must possess strong time management & organizational skills

  • Must be proficient and experienced at producing consistent, timely and accurate pipeline/ forecast reports to management, and functional working documents for account reviews

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experience selling at C-level within Federal Agencies

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as SalesForce or similar programs

  • BA or BS from an accredited College or University preferred
