Opportunity Summary:

We have an incredible new opportunity for an experienced Unified Communication (UC)/Network Administrator to join our internal Network Infrastructure team!  This team is very technically forward leaning in both the cutting edge Global Communications and Network products and Systems used. As more Globalization occurs within our Communications platforms and Network Infrastructure, this team and opportunity stand at the forefront of IT progress in the non-profit Christian IT arena This Unified Communications Engineer will have a large sphere of influence in the areas of Voice/Polycom/Communications and Networking, that will will have a Global impact on the Ministries ability to complete mission critical assignments and communicate effectively. Technical Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Unified Communications (UC) and/or Network Administrator in an Enterprise IT Environment.

  • Experience with CPaaS (Communications Platform as as Service) such as Cequens.

  • Primary administrator responsible for the installation, configuration, and performance monitoring of telephone, and Enterprise video conferencing hardware and related operating system software and platforms.

  • Plans in advance for system growth and recommends upgrade purchases to Lead Network Manager.

  • Configures, installs, and troubleshoots desktop and server hardware and related operating system software.

  • Supports the integrity of network services such as e-mail, Internet, and/or telephone service under general direction of supervisor.

  • Supports the integration and upkeep of existing IP Telephony voice, audio, video conferencing tools and systems.

  • Assists with performance and capacity monitoring, reporting status to Network Managers.

  • Available to provide on-call support as needed by management to fulfill the department Service Level Agreement and Internal Operating Procedures.

  • Follow policies and procedures of Samaritan’s Purse as set forth in the Policy Manual. Attend daily morning devotions and participates in prayer support for the ministry, donors and volunteers.

  • Maintain a strong Christian witness to colleagues, vendors, charitable beneficiaries, and the general public.

Systems/Technology Experience (Not All Required):

  • Avaya Aura - AVAYA next generation applications and products (Equinox, Breeze, Communications Manager, System Manager, Session Manager, etc.)
  • Polycom video conferencing and CPaaS (Cequens,  CPaaS  S4B, VSGI, etc.)
  • Network and SIP/VOIP Monitoring solutions (Solarwinds LEM, SevOne, PTRG, etc.)
  • Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, Hyper-V, Xen, Acropolis, etc.)
  • Skype for Business and integrations for Exchange.
  • Switching and Routing experience (Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.)
  • Message Filtering solutions (Messagelabs, Comodo, Mimecast, etc.)
  • Network Load Balancing solutions (F5, Windows NLB, etc.)
  • VPN and Firewall solutions (Juniper SRX, Palo Alto, Dell Sonicwall, etc)

Helpful Certifications (Not Required):

    • Avaya Certified Solutions Specialist (ACSS)
    • Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist (ACIS)
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional - CCNP
    • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert - CCIE Collaboration
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - MCSE Communication
