  • Overview

    Responsible for presenting the Company in the best, most comprehensive light to both prospective and current clients. Secures market share and creates profitable margins.

    Responsibilities

    What you’ll do on a typical day

    • Pull account profiles for each planned call and plans and executes a strategy for increasing market share (at a profitable level) during each call
    • Effectively plan and execute from 20-day plan and territory roster and properly utilize and complete the daily call report
    • Review origin/destination manifest for new call opportunities (must make two prospecting calls per day) and confidently asks for business on each call
    • Complete all pricing requests and leads generated from a day’s work. Negotiate pricing and conditions
    • Complete required administrative work in a timely manner
    • Plan for a minimum of three lunch meetings a week and sets appointments for the following week by phone. Must schedule a minimum of 40 weekly calls
    • Work with drivers and sales force to ensure the highest level of driver involvement in sales and marketing programs
    • Review results and action plans of the previous month. Make appropriate changes to the 20-day action plan
    • Completes individual sales budgeting each quarter

    Qualifications

    Here are the key things you will need to have

    • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • A valid Driver's License
    • At least 1 year of experience in Account Management
